Reviewing Ideas of Our Founding Fathers (two days)

Procedures for Learning Activities:
Introduction- To start this lesson, the teacher will set up the stations prior to the lesson. The teacher will then explain to the students that "today is a review day for our test. You all are going to be looking at different stations to help you all review." The teacher will go on to explain the stations.
Instructional Learning Activities-
1. Students will rotate to each station throughout the lesson. The teacher will meet with every student in small group setting during the study guide review.
Summary-
1. Once the review day(s) are over, the students should be able to reflect on the study guide stations. Students will be asked to do a graffiti wall activity with the stations on a piece of chart paper. The students will be asked to reflect on what they liked about the review stations and what they did not.
Assessment: The teacher will be working with the students when they are at the study guide station. The teacher will go over the content asking students to try to answer first, then discussing it with the students. The teacher will be assessing for students to be able to connect the ideas presented in this unit with the lessons done in class. The study guide will help students study for their test on this unit the following day.
- The students will be able recall who some of the Founding Fathers are and their ideas that helped shape the Constitution.

- Chester Comix with Content- Constitution Construction, by Bentley Boyd .
- 13 Colonies Map Quiz (computer game)
- Study Guide with pictures/ timelines
- Matching Game
- chart paper and markers

- Station 1: Chester Comix with Content- Constitution Construction, by Bentley Boyd- students will read chapter 3 and 4 of the comic, those focus on Mason, Madison, Jefferson, and the forming of the Constitution.
- Station 2: 13 Colonies Map Quiz- The students will work on computers to play a game to review which states where part of the original 13 colonies and reunited after the American Revolution.
- Station 3: Study guide- the study guide group will meet with the teacher to help them in small groups fill in the study guide.
- Station 4: Matching game- students will have to look at images of the founding fathers and match them to their ideas or accomplishments.
